Oracle is promoting Java on mobile platforms

Oracle has extended its environment ADF (Application Development Framework), the addition of the ability to create applications for Apple and Android. The advantage of the new ADF Mobile is that independent developers do not have to modify the code to be written once for Apple iOS device or Android.

You do not need to learn a new language or to deploy the application to a different platform. The new version of ADF is abstracted from the specific differences of devices and works with an application written entirely in its own environment.

At the same time, this expansion will probably not fit for Sunday developers hoping to make it a new version of Angry Birds. Instead, the product is aimed at helping to develop not-ADF Java applications for mobile platforms. In fact, any web application and web site, can be integrated into mobile application ADF.

In order razrabotchkikov ADF Mobile provides tools that Oracle classifies hybrid architecture design, which includes web technologies (HTML5 and Javascript), and enterprise Java-tools. Every application that works with ADF Mobile, embedded in a light Java Virtual Machine and Java-code runs. Use is a lightweight model (the so-called headless) due to limits on the platform Apple iOS.

The addition, built-in JVM, for each application will be minimal.

Formally Oracle ADF - this Java EE-framework, based on the architecture of MVC (Model View Controller), which provides code to work with a variety of system procedures and eliminates the need to manually implement these procedures in the program. ADF also has its own security features applications.
