Presented official client Lync 2013 for WP 8

Corporate division of Microsoft officially presented the new mobile version of its universal communication client Lync 2013 for Windows Phone 8 (WP 8). In addition, later versions came Lync for devices iPhone and iPad. Lync 2013 client provides a variety of communication methods for enterprise customers: text correspondence, IP-telephony, conferencing, and presence control in the workplace.

Of a series of mobile clients for enterprise communications platform Lync 2013 became the first version of Lync for WP 8 - it's available in the app store Windows Phone Store on March 11. Since March 12, 2013 Lync client applications became available in App Store iTunes AppStore for iPhone and tablet iPad.

Strictly speaking, a mobile client for Lync platform existed before. Back in 2011, Microsoft has released a mobile version of Lync 2010 client platform for Windows Phone 7.x, iPhone and iPad. However, these earlier versions do not have support for the latest platforms: Lync 2013. By the way, the version of Lync 2013 mobile client for Android to be released within a month, that is, until the end of April.

The developers of the new mobile client Lync 2013 emphasize that in the version for iPad implemented a unique opportunity to view a PowerPoint presentation during a teleconference. Also, Microsoft reported a continuation of work on technology integration Lync and Skype, but in this region there is a significant gap to the plan. It is learned that the first phase of the integration should appear publicly available around June 2013, as a trial version of a single solution.

It should be noted that the introduction of Lync from scratch in corporate environments is still a difficult undertaking. On the other hand, the recently released Lync 2013 platform embodies all the features that users expect from a long time technology Skype.
