New malicious code capitalizes on the brand BlackBerry

IT company WebSence today warned business users working with commercial products RIM BlackBerry has found the new malware samples that imitates legitimate e-mail message from the server BlackBerry. The malware spreads via bogus email-address and destination input is in error as to what to BlackBerry-server on behalf of the account was created.


The virus also includes a link, when you click on the user gets to host malware. In another embodiment, the malware can attach himself to writing executable file that, when run in Windows modifies the registry and automatically launches the program, loaded on the victim of two malicious programs.

"This malicious code capitalizes on popularity of the BlackBerry, trying to mislead the corporate users. Like other malware, the problem of this - turn your computer into a botnet, which in future will be able to use the resources of the victim in his illegal purposes," - says Elad Schaff, an antiviral expert WebSence.
