Application for unlocking Motorola bootloaders

Motorola has released an application to unlock bootloaders of their gadgets


Frankly, we are tired of waiting for Motorola has released a program that will unlock the bootloaders of its smartphones. Some people have long given up on the promise of the American company.

So, it finally happened, and Motorola has opened a page «Unlock My Device», where visitors will be able to unlock their gadgets. True, the number of the latter is still very limited. This page is only available to owners of three gadgets - Motorola Photon Q, Motorola RAZR smartphone version for developers and tablet Motorola XOOM.


Bootloader unlock procedure involves several stages. Users need to install the ADB, called Motorola ID-number of your device and follow the instructions.

Unlocked bootloader opens up many new opportunities to users. They can install customized firmware and applications. And that is why the American company does not recommend the smartphone unlocked bootloader, and disclaims all liability for such actions of users.

Let's hope that Motorola will not stop there and soon expanded list of smartphones, which owners can unlock their bootloaders.
